New: North sea Twins
What is more beautiful than a guitar
? Right, two guitars ! Now available are the North sea Twins;
two guitars, ordered at the same time and in some way related;
a 16 and 17 inch model, a cutaway and a non-cutaway, an acoustic
and an electric guitar, a six string and and a seven string, a
blonde and a sunburst brunette, the possibilities are endless.
Also tonal differences are possible, such as one guitar for comping
and one for chord melody / solo style playing. And as a special
offer I will subtract 5 % of the total price of the two Twin guitars.

This is what a North sea Twins set of guitars could look like:
16 and 17 inch Thinline Florentine cutaway guitars
New top woods: Oregon pine
and Alaska yellow cedar
In recent years Daniel has used alternative
woods for spruce (European, Sitka and Engelmann) on prototype
guitars : Oregon pine and Alaska yellow cedar. The Oregon pine
or Douglas fir is select quality old growth wood with an amazing
fine grain, very responsive as a top wood. The old growth trees
are 400 + years old (the tree started life somewhere around the
year 1550).
The Alaska yellow cedar is even older
at over 500 growth rings and counting. It has a fine, even texture
and it has a very pleasant odour when worked ! If you are looking
for a guitar that is a little different, responsive and lightweight,
the Alaska yellow cedar could be a consideration.
