New model: Slaman ES 150

Finally it's here: the Slaman ES -150 model !

This is a very special guitar with a carved Sitka spruce top, Honduras rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The back is arched like on a dreadnaught guitar, not carved (as in the original 1936 Gibson ES-150)
The pickup is custom made by Jason Lollar in the USA, and performs brilliantly: the traditional Charlie Christian sound, but without the terrible hum of the original Gibson pickup, even though it still is a single coil pickup.

The pickup has small modern Alnico V magnets, not the big cobalt magnets of the original pickup; it delivers the sound, but not the hum !

 

Then this assembly is made to mount in in the original way, using three spring-loaded screws
