Yes but why Cypress?
Spanish cypress has been used for centuries in instrument making. Flamenco guitars are traditionally made of this wood with it's pungent, everlasting smell. It is a softwood but has more characteristics of a hardwood, very strong and stable. This particular guitar has great sustain and a classic 'thirties and forties' jazz sound. Strung with flatwound 012 D'Addario strings.
