John wrote to me about this
guitar:
Daniel,
This is one of the nicest
feeling guitars I have ever played. It feels substantial, not
fragile or delicate. I know this may sound funny, but the guitar
almost feels alive! When I play, I kind of like to fight the
guitar a little bit, but I want the guitar to fight with me,
not against me. Your guitar does that.
I like the feel of the
neck. I did raise the action some from where you had it set.
The quality of your finish work is exquisite. I really like the
Bakelite volume and tone knobs thats a wonderful
touch. The quality of the wood is wonderful I really like
the authentic thick carved solid spruce top on this model. The
pickup both looks and sounds wonderful. Your inlay work is really
clean, as is all of your detail work.
Because of the pickup
being bolted to the thick top, the unamplified acoustic sound
is not that loud, but it is very sweet. It is a real pleasure
playing this guitar at home, not even plugged in to an amplifier.
I am really looking forward
to playing the Slaman in the jazz band. Thank you for featuring
this wonderful guitar on your web site. Its an honor to
be there. By the way, I think Axel Hagen and Dean Granros are
really wonderful players.
Adios for now,
John
