Allen Johnson Jr. , U.S.A.

Allen Johnson contacted me because he believes me to be the only arch-top maker who is giving primary consideration to sound and volume of the guitar. His experience with many of the world's greatest archtop guitars made it a real challenge to meet his expectations. His North sea 1923 guitar is clearly inspired by the first Gibson / Loar L5 guitar but is not an exact copy. The model is now part of the New Vintage serie.

His comment after receiving the guitar:

"You have the two most important things nailed down: sound and playability. It has indeed been a pleasure working with you. Thank you again, Daniel, for making it possible for me to have this wonderful instrument".
